What to do when system crashs

Hi
I'm currently looking at a crashed solaris 8 on the sun machine. The only thing i can do is move he mouse.
Should I wait for couple of hours or reset the system.

As a couple of hours have now passed, I assume you have rebooted!

If the machine is networked, you could log in and gracefully bring it down.

logon to that machine from another networked machine
as root and run sync cmd twice from cmd line and
then init 0 to it reboot the machine.
