hi again,

I am working on a norstar system, and I have about 20 different outside numbers. I was trying to program the m7234 Cap phone, and I can not figure outhow to program the buttons like they were.

Before my system crashed, first 15 buttons were programmed with the outside numbers IE (L045). how can I get that back?

Thanks again

In system programing go to cap and assign cap 1 to the ext. this will alow lines to be programed on it. Then in the set programing assign the line you want to the extension with the cap. then you can move them to the cap with feature 81. internal just press F *2 pressbutton enter ext.external autodial is F *1.

But, how can I program the buttons on the M3724? The cap is working right for now? Is the template PBX good or the DID template?

Just go into "terminals and sets" in programming and give appearances of the lines you are missing from the M7324 under the ext. of the set you need. then if you have button programming to do ie: Conference, page, etc. do that with feature *3 hit the button you want to use then feature code

Money may not buy you happiness, but in MLB it buys you CHAMPIONSHIPS. (27 and counting). MLB,stands for Major League Baseball for you slower Boston Fans!

Like cook said except with * (F*81)

PBX or DID template?
Thats for System startup!!

I suggest to choose PBX for startup but it has nothing to do with your issue.

F*0 Button inquiry
F*1 program External #
F*2 program Internal #
F*3 program a feature
F*81 move lines to another button
