Running 7.6.300b on Pervasive. I am using a third party developer to generate pick tickets(long story why...) and I need to know exactly what tables and fields are written to and updated when a pick ticket is generated through Macola so we can duplicate. Most interested in changes to IM tables... Thanks in advance!

v7.5.103d Pevasive/SQL

When printing a pick ticket with my version, the only changes I see are made to OEORDHDR and OEORDLIN (see below). No IM changes are made. IM changes are made during O/E, ie, Qty allocated.

OEORDHDR Order_Status field changed to 4 (Pick ticket printed)

OEORDLIN Pick_Date is populated

Getting answers before I'm asked.
Providing answers if I can.

Provied that you are not in a confirm pick environment, the OEORDHDR_SQL status is changed to 4 and the picked_dt in the OEORDLIN_SQL is populated with a date in the YYYYMMDD format.

If you have audit trails turned on in OE Setup, there is also a type B and a type C record written to the OEHDRAUD_SQL and OELINAUD_SQL tables.

When and how are the IM qty_alloc and qty_on_hand files updated?

I am going to limit my answer to the order entry process as this seems to be your area of interest. This answer also assumes your are not running confirm pick or confirm ship.

Only controlled item maintain a qty allocated and only stocked items maintain a qty on hand. So first check the item master to see that these are stocked and controlled items.

Qty allocated will increase when the item is placed on an OE order. It will decrease when the invoice is posted.

The qty on hand will decrease when the invoice is posted.

If you want to know about confirm ship or pick, or about when the qty allocated or qty on hand is affected on other business processes, please post again.

There are various tools that will track what changes happen in Macola when you run certain functions. Especially in a SQL environment. I happen to use one called DBWATCH. It's very inexpensive. You capture a snapshot of the database before you are about to try something, then run the process, in your case, print pick tickets. Then run the program again which will check for differences. It will show if something is deleted, added or changed and which tables/fields got touched. If you google it, you'll find the website.
