We have a customer that wants an ALL IP phone IP Office system. What data switch would be the best for this application? It needs to have POE, GIG, and support VLANs. The system will have about 65 phones.

I know Avaya has the ERS 3500, but I was wondering if it was worth the money.

Thanks.

I mean you can run the IPO Command for DHCP if that makes it worth it to you. They're not a bad switch at all.

Running mostly Cisco SF/SG300 on my customers, never had any issues, not a single DOA.

Kind regards

We would sell you Avaya ERS 35xx series. We install loads and not any real issues. Never replaced one.

[glasses]We use HP for years without a issue and recently we install the Avaya switches because they are pre-configred to work with IP Office with VLANs and LLDP ( for 9600 phones ) and installing is done in less then five minutes.

Avaya's 3500 series for sure. Not cheap, but one command to set it up for your voice network.
