What swatch will give me PMS colors with the CV on the end and the C? I'm fairly certain the C is for Pantone Solid Coated.

I have 2 logos. Both are using PMS 293. 1 is PMS 293 C and 1 is PMS 293 CV. I need them to be the same when I place the image in InDesign or my printer will output 2 separate printing plates when I only want 1.

I'm running Illustrator CS - 11.0.0 on a pc.

293C = Pantone 293 Coated. For Uncoated it would be 293U

Pantone replaced the CV with C a few years ago. CV usually means that the Pantone was created in an older app. All quark 4 pantones had the CV rather than C. There is no difference in output. I would use C.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

...in indesign it is possible to apply colour aliases, or in other words, color mapping colours onto other plates, this can be found in your ink manager...
