What slot is this talking about? Getting dead air.

When I am watching the Monitor program on the IP Office system, when I see "BChan: slot=10 chan=17", what is it talking about? There is no PRI, it is on MPLS. The reason I ask is because (from the testing thatI have done) it seems like everytime it hits slot 6, the person on one end or the other cannot hear anything. If this is not the cause of the dead air, what could be? Thank you in advance for any help anyone can offer.
