Hello,

Although I have a significant amount of traffic on my website, job offers sent to me aren't as much as I expected.

That's why I would like to hear from you all opinions about what I could possibly improve in order to increase the number of people contacting me.

Here is the site :
Thanks for being fair :)

A couple of things.

1: There is no central focus to the page. It scatters the eye. A large vertical bar coupled with a curved swoop in the middle and the "grid" on the right just make it hard to look at. There is nothing wrong with any of these by themselves, they just don't work together.

2: The primary colors draw the eyes away from what you want them to see, your work.

3: The page is very long. Do you need a contact form on the homepage? Why the long list of countries/states that you work in? Is that really necessary?

4: There are many typos (at least on the English version) and grammatical errors.

5: While the site is not completely bad I would say that it does very little to sell your skills as a designer. There are no thumbnails for any of your designs so a prospective client has to click on everything to get the feel of what you do (or they have to base there opinion on what they are looking at). On the other hand there are thumbnails of your logo designs and no larger images. So it's somewhat inconsistant.

6: Why would you mention web sites of "friends"? Did you design them?

You've got some good logo/site designs. You just need to sell them better.

Hope it's worth something to you.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Thanks lot for you long and helpful post !

What I will retain in your comments are :

4) The fact that there are English mistakes.
I will have a closer look. Although English isn't my first language, I always had the impression that I was writing well ... which was my first big mistake :)

5) The lack of thumbnails.
That was a problem I thought about a lot while I was designing the site. The main problem being that thumbnails of web interfaces are too small ( and too ugly ) to give someone the desire to click on them. One other possibility would be to show only a small area of the interface in the thumbnail but I didn't like that idea either.
Would you have a better strategy?

As for your questions, the list of countries is there to improve ranking in search engine because lots of people often include a geographical area in their query.

And friends'sites are ... sites belonging to friends :)
I didn't design them.

Again, thanks a lot for your comments.
I'm looking forward to hearing more of these.

Cheers

You can hide the list of countries/cities/states in your code in meta tags or CSS and still have the search engines pick it up, but not have it displayed all over the screen.

I pretty much agree with everything pixl8r had to say. These are good points that you should address if your really trying to sell your services through your site.

Hope This Helps!
