I'm new to the whole Network world and need BIG help on what I should do and what I need to know. Here's my situation.

I am going to attend Heald and take their Computer Technology program. Then I'll take the Cisco and MS2000 certs. After I'm lost haha.

My friend say I should take UNIX, ORACLE, and other certs to better myself in to getting a better job. Please help me someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's silly to give advice on certification without even knowing what sort of job you are looking for. Oracle certification is probably a waste of time unless you are planning on being a programmer or at least an administrator. Cisco certs are certainly great if you are heading for networking or security, but are nearly pointless to a database programmer or even a web developer.

Go do your course. Figure out what you are good at and what you probably want to do Then decide on certs.
