We're a Baan ERP shop, and we're interested in

I have a video-conference scheduled with Seagate later this week to get a demo and go over pricing and technical issues. What questions should I ask? Steve Bell

I would ask about licensing costs for automatic report distribution. Seagate's license gives them control over what you do with any output you create (except hard copy). So, for instance if you automatically copy finished reports to a web site each week for others to view, the viewers of the report have to be licensed, or considered in your license. Ken Hamady

Further to the previous post be aware that Crystal Decisons version 8.5 comes with a special offer of a free 5 user concurrent licence for Crystal Decisions. Additional users come at two thousand five hundred dollars per seat and I think in minimum packs of 5.

Crystal now appear to be uninterested in users on internal networks, they are aiming at multi-nationals distributing information to thousands of users via the web.
