For all you Norton Gurus that have had NAV up and running for awhile on your network, what types of scans do you reccomend that I run on a regular basis to protect/inspect my network. Should I run a quick scan daily on the clients, and then a full scan 1 time a week? Or should I run a full scan everyday on my clients? How have you configured your scheduled scans for your clients? I am running a mixed enviroment of NAV 9 & 10.

We run a full scan every night. Before we perform full scans on everyone’s computers we have the system do a live update so we can ensure, the most current definition is being scanned every night. It is best to automate this task so that you can sleep well knowing you will have a clean computer in the morning.

Hope this helps,

Office Slave

We run a full scan everyday at noon. Some users shut down at nite, some don't; this is the only way we can insure regular scans.
