Hi

I`m new to this forum, passed CCNA last week with 978, going for CCNP now. I`ve been using sims so far but just bought a 1601 from ebay and I want another one, would a 2501 be a good addition for my lab, or would another model be recommended (bearing in mind i`m not exactly loaded!) I`ve been reading through some of the past archives today and I`m very impressed with it all.

2514 would be a better bet. 2 ether port and 2 serial ports. Also, the 2500s can run BGP which is required for the CCNP.. VERY required. The 1600 can do it all except BGP.. but I *think* there is a version of IOS that will run BGP on a 1600 but I have not tried it yet.
