Hi,
Since my company's IT department is clueless, I'm gonna have to find the answers myself and give them explicit step by step instructions on what I need them to do... :-(
There's a VSS 2005 server at the main office, which supposedly works fast for the people there; but when accessing it over the WAN from the remote office, it's unbelievably slow in everything it does. It takes 5 minutes just to display the contents of a directory when you click on a different folder...
I'm sure it's a problem with the firewall rules, since all other WAN traffic (other than VSS or Windows File Shares) are very fast.
Can anyone give me a list of all the ports that need to be opened on the firewall to get it working properly?
