Need some help here please. Do I need to renumber the remote access code and why? But I don't know what number to dial. To access a remote setup. How do I find out what number to dial?

From any single lie port in the system dial * 10 or from outside have some press TRAN *10 TRAN and hang up.

Merlin889,

I think fonedude is confused with your question. Remote access is when you Dial a DID number and you access system features. You can for instance renumber your remote access number from the default 889 to 1212 and if 555-1212 were a vaild DID and you dial it, then you would recieve a tone. At that point you enter a Barrier code (which you also have to program) then you get an INTERCOM dial tone. Depending on the rectriction of the code you use you can dial 9 and get an outside line or you can also dial a access code to use a tie line, or use a paging port or you can even dial *10 to do remote programming (if it is programmed to be allowed).
