Hello,

I have two cisco router 1721, I am planning to replace them with new ones, any idea what would be my best choise?, are the 2800 model a better option?, please advise?

Thanks!

Montero84,

It might help if we knew what you were using these 1721s for!!

Are you looking just to look? Are they NOT doing something you expected them to do? Is this for a buisness, home or a SOHO office? How many users do they support? What kind of Internet connection do you have?

Give us a little info and we can try to answer :)

Hello CiscoGuy33!

Thank you for you quick reply.

The 1721 connect a small Hospital network with another Big Hospital network with the data, printer, e-mail servers. the 1721 also has vlan configured, we have 75 workstation in that hospital. I know the 1721 are very good but also very old devices. I also has point-to-point VPN in that router.

Please advise,

Thanks
P.S, my english is not perfect, I appologize for it.

Most important is the speed of the connection and amount of data moving through the router -- and if it is all being encrypted (VPN)?
