I wonder.
When I create object for the db connection, recordset, etc. and opening the recordset, connection, or even when I use buffer to create the asp page,
where is it all stored, what resources of the server r used for that?
R we talking about the server temporary disk here?
When the recordset is big, what resource does it waste?

Thanks in advacne

RAM

However, you're recordset should only be a valid object during the processing of the page and if it's huge, you should be paging the recordset.

Are you hosting your own website on IIS ??

Well, I am not the admin.
But we have our own Intranet server, IIS, etc.
I am building the asp pages, copy them to the Intranet,
and the admin in our institution is the one that have full permissions to this server.

RAM u say,
So...if I get an error saying there is not enough temporary disk space while running the asp pages, it has nothing to do with the size of the recordset right?Or any other objects I have?
Only the getRows array use the temporary disk then?
What else use the this disk, if any, that has to do with asp pages?
Or..what other stuff can use 10 GB of the temporary disk, that has nothing to do with asp pages? Some other job on the server, such as...?
Btw - I am aware of the paging matter. i just gave that as an e.g. :)

Thanks
