i have an access database, but it could just as easily be mysql.
and i want information from this database to be linked to sides of a spinning cube.
i want the user to be able to spin the cube to the right and the next record from the database will be shown on that side, and so on and so on, until the end of the recordest... so there wouldnt unfortunately be just 4 records for 4 sides.
also, i need the record that is displayed on the side of the cube to hyperlink to a website and provide a pop-up on hover.

i have absolutely no idea where to begin.
what language will this need? is it even possible?

Got a question? Search G O O G L E first.

I would try flash for the cube, and I know you can use server side languages with flash I just don't know how, so it might be kind of difficult.

I've seen java applets that use a cube with images for for site navigation similar to what you're describing. The images and links are just coded in. You can use any server side language to insert the links and images to the perameters.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
