What kind of routers are you running AutoTopology on?

I am running it on a 5380 and it doesn't work. It will discover the router but not do the subnet discovery. I have nothing but problems with Optivity so far.

What rev of code are you running? A 5380 dates back to the pre-Nortel days, and may not be supported.

Have you tried telling Optivity that the 5380 is an ASN router?

I only put in the IP address, community strings in the community strings page. Then I use the router address as the seed address.

I do not know of anywhere to specify that is a 5380. (you would think that something called autodiscovery would know what it is) (haha)...

Thanks for the reply...I hate this product....Fortunately we are going to all Cisco next year but meanwhile I have to live with this thing.

Tom

Check the OIT tool kits for 5380 info. You may have to install a s/w oit kit to recognise the unit. You also have to customise the database object.
