what its the better OS to learn and use

i thing its a relay good question, its not so easy
but what its better to learn an undertstand of the diffrent
OS that are available,

in the server rooms that uses UNIX Systems what is the uses of OS i dont know, but my opinion its solaris

I would say that it all depends on what hardware you have avalible to learn on.

With most all Unix style OS's there are distros avalible for free (well allmost) but solaris and Linux are easyest as they can be run on PC's

I would suggest that a couple of good books (Solaris Solutions for System Administrators ISBN 0-471-34810-4, and one of the Sam's Linux Unleashed series) a P3 PC, a Linux distro and a solaris (i386) distro would be a good starting place.

Read, test, play ("Break and Fix"), then search sites like tek-tips for all the different ways to do things Unix.

Most of all take notes, and enjoy.
