ZoneAlarm tells me that wfxmsrvr.mfc wants to access the internet, should I let it? I don't know what it is, let alone if I should let it! Seems to be a fax service of some sort, but even so, I don't know why it wants to access the Internet when I haven't called for it. Clarification and suggestion welcome.

It has something to do with MS Office and MS Outlook I think. I'm not really sure what it is but from the looks of the "dos name"(wfxmsrvr.mfc) it is probably something like "windows fax (message or manager) server". Personally I don't like any of my software to roam free on the internet even if it does update at will. I like to start it and run the update manually. But that is just a personal preferece. So my answer would be no, don't let it access the internet. But as I said, it's a personal thing with me. Hope this helps ya a little Every day above ground is a GOOD DAY!!!

MS Fax Manager, and it's a little less than completely reliable IMO. I would go to and look for the update and ugrade it manually - so you know what was done )
