what is %wait in CPU_ALL in aix

can any one help me to understand wht is the wait% in CPU_ALL in nmon. When i am opening the raw nmon file with nmon analyser and in the CPU_all i find there is high Wait..what is th emeaning of this wait, is this i/o wait but there is no paging

I don't use nmon that often but i think those wait processes aren't harmful!

Thanks for replying, but i need to know
the CPU wait here is IO wait or just the ideal cpu time.

or when we can identify there is a huge io.
for example-if cpu wait% in CPU_ALL is 50% then what we need to check if there is disk io in the system

Try checking vmstat or iostat! it will definetly shows that!
