What is VBScript good for? (If not doing ASP)

Why would I use VBScript if not for web pages?
I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but I'm a VB programmer and you have to write slow...

What is it good for? Batch programs? Can I use forms with it?
I know what it does, not what to use it for. :-0 The door to life is never locked, but few have the knowledge to open it.

If not for web pages, it can be used as glue to glue diffrent components together... also it can be used with the WSH to create registry changes, and I know you said not as a web page, but the browser can be used as a platform to build apps, not just web sites... jared@aauser.com

did'nt wanted to force a d/l. Just copy from my machine or the server to some machines. The door to life is never locked, but few have the knowledge to open it.

I use it also to automate tasks for web site.. such as mailing news letters every month etc.. you write the script and schedule it to run each while using the AT command..
