What is VBA and hat for exactly?

i want to know what is VBA. how it is different from VB6.0 applications. What type of applications we can develop by using this VBA.

It is visual basic code format

it cannot run independently of office

The objects are by and large excel, word, access specific.

although there is a degree of commonality in syntax.

It is there to allow office users to customize/automate their applications.
