..is it just me but I dont feel like getting a mimo/pre-n/draft-n router.

whats the point when they arent going to be compatable with the next standard.

I really dislike my usrobotics wifi router I have now.. but I'm not jumping to buy the latest and greatest in propritary hardware.

am I alone on this?

Like you not sure what to do.. So I'm still with my OLD JUNK 802.11b Linksys BEFW11S4... works good in the house. does 11mpbs to laptop... front porch and back porch... not much further than that...

I am perfectly content with my 802.11g wireless at home. I don't really want to get ahead of the standards and I don't really need more speed at this time.

Who needs more than 11Mbps anyway?
Your uplink to the internet is likely to be max 8Mbps so whats the rush to get anything faster than 802.11g?

Andy

That speed is nice if you try to move a Gig or so from a laptop to a net drive, 802.11b can take a while. I am useing super G 108 now only because I have 2 labtops that have super G build in. And the old router was droping and recnnecting ever half hour so I got the new one around $40.00.
