What is the problem

I put a new baord in my system in an empty slot.
Did CNHUI. Printout ODERED.
Few minuts later CNLIP:dev=yes;
It gives me lim configuration with not equiped at the position where I just plug the board and a spontenous printout
Position already occupied. below the printout.the board is in position 30,this is gjul4

Need explanation and how to fix this

is impossible to enter this board in the 30 position because in the 32 position you have a Elu 29 and this board ocupe 16 individual.
The Gjul 4 ocupe 32 individual, you have put the Gjul4 in the postion 40 for example or position 60.

Position ending by 2 is 16 ts,and ELU29 in position 32 is ok.
position ending by 0 is 32 TS if so position 30 is also 32 ts and GJUL4 can fit.
Please confirm if postions 30,31 and 32 together have 32 ts?

even if you're right my question remain becaus I put it at position 40 and I have this result

ts 20&22 together makes 32 individuals slot. suppose if some board which has 16 individuals (eg: elu29) is there - either in ts20 or in ts22, this slot (together 20&22) can have only 16 more individuals.

this is what happened with your 30&32 slot. you have already one 16 individual board on ts 32 (elu29). so the remaining individuals you can have is only 16.

gjul4 alone itself is a 32 individual card

same is the case for ts40&42, ts 50&52.

about ts60,62&63 daddy has mentioned

now you problem, it has already taken by the system
002-0-40 36 32 PASSIVE but it is passive. make it active. thats all

Hi Guys,


if you are assigning 32 port board in 2-0-30 but 2-0-32 is equipped with ELU 29 then you will get massage that 2-0-30 is already equipped. Bcoz 32 port board will take 16 time slot of 2-0-30 and 16 time slot of 2-0-32.So you are receiving this massage bcoz 2-0-32 is equipped. Then u can not assign 32 port in 2-0-30.
