what is the problem with th timer, programing with winkdows SDK?

SetTimer, WM_Timer are not working.

Are you sure that your SetTimer call was successful?
Maybe you should check its return value first.
If the function fails to create a timer, the return value is zero. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.
