At 6:29s of this video, the presenter picks up an adapter: What is the name of this adapter / is there an example of a link on Amazon etc.?
This is an adapter required to use a fan with 5v connector in 3.3v mode

None of those adapters are the same as the one in the video unfortauntely

You can just order the parts and make your own from that list of adapters.

Unfortunately that isn't helpful, I need to get them in quantity so am trying to find the 'proper name' so I can get the adapter I need 'as is'

It doesn't have a 'special name', it is colloquially known as 'a four pin fan connector' or '3.5" drive power connector', and comes in both 'male' and 'female' versions. The male being the one generally on the board or the device, while the female is generally attached to the PSU.

No doubt Molex will have a catalogue number for it (or several for different styles), but personally I have never referred to it, or had it referred to, as anything other than either of the above.

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

Never mind this jesus character, stars had to die for me to live.

So far as the drive connector AMP Special Products was the the original supplier and later licensed Molex.

Sure looks like only two pins to me?

Aznphatb0i, if you google LoveRPi Performance Pro Cases for Raspberry Pi 3 you get to the supplier's page at which gives a list of parts in the kit:

What's Included:

2 Piece ABS enclosure (Available in 3 Colors)
Active cooling fan
Extension cable for 3.3V operation
4 Screws for securing board
4 Screws for securing fan
4 Rubber feet
Removable LoveRPi Sticker
Extension cable to allow non-adjacent pin usage (eg 3.3V operation instead of 5V)

Then there's an explanation of exactly how the extension cable is used:

Fan operates loudly on 5V when connected to pin 4 (red) and pin 6 (black).
Fan operates quietly on 3.3V when connected to pin 1 (red) and pin 6 (black).
