What is the maximum number of MCR keys? 1

What is the maximum number of MCR keys that can be on a system? I know that you can only have a max of 30 appearances of an MCR key and that it needs to be load balanced between shelves but how many different MCR keys can be programmed in a switch? Thanks in advance!

I do not believe you are limited in the number of DIFFERENT MCRs outside of what would limit any other DN type.

To take this one step further, does anyone know if this rule applies on the CS1000E running rel 4.5 software? I wondered since there is no Ring Generator involved.

Sorry but I just thought of something even further. How are the DS-30 resources affected when an IP phone is used? Is that even a consideration here?

Same rules apply with CS1000e

IP phones do not use DS-30 resources unles they are talking through a TDM trunk or phone and then they all addup the same.

An IP to IP call will not use any Switch resources - only signaling for call setup and tare down etc.

I programmed thirty sets with an MCR key and then tried it on the 31st. It lets you program the set but will not add the MCR key. Thanks for the info everyone.
