What is the maximum amount of T74 expansions allowable on a BCM 1

Hi,

We are looking to migrate to a BCM system from our tried and true Nortel MICS. We want to have more than 5 T24 expansion modules on the system. To be clear, we want each of our 10 agents (who have a T7316e on their desk) to each have a T24 KIM expansion module as well. The Nortel MICS has a maximum of 5 T24's on the system. I have been told that this is because of voltage requirements.

Any thoughts ?

The information you are getting is a bit misleading. On the MICS, you can have 5 CAP sets. On the BCM, it is 12. This does not mean you are limited to 5 or 12 KIMs respectively. Each CAP set can have 4 KIMs. Also KIMs can be added to T7316e sets without assigning the set as a CAP set. The diference being that a CAP assigned set can have line and hunt group appearences assigned to the KIM, a un CAP assigned set can only have autodials and features. I am sorry, but I do not remember the physical limitation of KIMs on a MICS, although the number 18 seams to stick in my head. BCM really has no limit. I hope this clears it up.

- we have a remote worker, what is the maximum amount of line appearances that he can have on his set, whether it be a T7316e or not.

- If you have a lot of experience with the BCM, can you please take a look at my other post in this forum about SMDR data output

The number of line appearances would be limited to the number of buttons available for the line appearances. For example a T7316e, with 1 intercom and not assigned as a CAP set, would be able to support 15 appearances. Intercom keys override line keys. Ring only appearances are limited to the number of intercom keys. You could assign 20 lines as ring only, and all 20 would ring the set, but if they had 2 intercoms, they could only answer 2 calls.
