I am learning ASP and also facing the choice of using Access 2000 or SQL server as the web database (maybe I also need to think about MS data engine). My company is small and I donot think there will be big transaction volumn. However, I have to know the limitaions of Access 2000 before I move forward.

Is there any online papers I can read about this?

Thanks in advance.

Seaport
well my company is small but if the database is rather small, and nicely setup you can use the Access DB server side ( can only access it through the ASP ) its also a little more secure as far as remote access goes(people on the outside cant touch the file unless it resides in webfolders themselves) SQL server however is much faster for getting the data, and it's easily capable of working with thousands and millions more records than Access could handle.
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
