I am running NAM fiber 4.04A software w/ACS although I am not using the ACS functions. Almost every day, the NAM stops working (no AA no VM) until I reset it. I was thinking that there must be some newer software for it. Anyone know how to upgrade this thing?

Your voice mail needs to be repaired. You probably have a bad harddrive and that is what is failing.
The voicemail needs to be repaired.

The latest voicemail is 4.0.04C, but I agree with RepaiCenter, it's probably your harddrive. One of these times it just won't reset. I'm guess you mean ACD?

How long has the sysytem been in?
Do you have a UPS (battery backup) on it? (power related)
Can you hook a monitor to NAM and see if it is locked up?
Good Luck!!

DueE,

Yes, thanks I do mean ACD. I have been with an Avaya ACS all day so sometimes my brain doesnt work write. I have considered replacing the drive but I really get NO indications either from OS/2 or the VM application that it is having trouble reading/writing to the drive although anything is possible. Having said that, if I did want to upgrade from 4.04A to 4.04C what would it take and where would I go to do this?

actually the latest is 4.04E. You might want to contact your first line tech support to see if you can get a copy. I don't have any order codes or any way of getting them.....
When going from 4.04A you "shouldn't" require a keycode however I have run into some nam's that the upgrade has failed because the keycode isn't already in there.
