All,

Can anyone tell me whether or not Microsoft did away with the need to create an ERD disk in 2003; if so, what is the other option.

Thanks,

Thomas

There is an Built in better support for distare recovery called ASR, if u go to System backup utility you will find that there is an util called "Automated System recovery Wizard"
Use that one to make an "emergency disc" one thing is that you should designate free space on HDD (Not the hdd that is the System disc) for some system files, mine took about 1,5 GB of space on e:\ a separate disc, not even in the same RAID, preferabely u should take a new disc and use it for just this purpose and then store the disc somewhere for disaster recovery situations... its worth every penny...
