Hello all.
What is the differences between GENERICS_DOMAIN and VIRTUSER_DOMAIN?
Currently I have 3 domains. I can send and recive e-mail. If I look at the header of an e-mail coming from one of the domains, it shows it comes from the name of the box. How do I get the headers to show it comes from that domain?
Thanks.

edit /etc/sendmail.cf and look for a line that says:
# who I masquerade as (null for no masquerading)
DMyourserver.yourdomain.tld
and change it into:
# who I masquerade as (null for no masquerading)
DMyourdomain.tld

Log in as root and type:
/etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S80sendmail stop
/etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S80sendmail start

rouse01,
Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't even look at masquerading. I will now.

I'm still curious though - What is the differences between GENERICS_DOMAIN and VIRTUSER_DOMAIN?

Sorry, but the restart command should be:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail restart

Not sure what the differences between GENERICS_DOMAIN and VIRTUSER_DOMAIN are, but I bet someone here does.

IIRC, generics domain is when mail is sent out and virtuser is for the mail coming in.
