Dec 20, 2004 #2 cdlvj MIS Nov 18, 2003 676 US automatic means the service is started at boot, and if it happens to fail, it will restart. manual means you have to do the start, stop on your as needed basis. disabled means it is invisible, and never starts, for instance in the UNIX world if you do not need DNS, you disable it, so resources are not used.
