Hi,

At this moment al our clients are running Virusscan Enterprise 7.1 software. The servers (w2k) are running netshield 4.5. Updating datfiles whith Vscan Enterprice is going better then with netshield. So i want to deploy Vscan enterprise on the servers also.

Any questions:

1. What is the difference between netshield and vscan enterprise?

2. Is there a reason not to place vscan enterprise on the servers?

Thank in advance,

Klaas Knobbe

virusscan enterprise is the new solution for servers and workstations, whereas netshield was the solution for servers oonly, and vs 4.51 was the one for workstations.
the differences are ALOT specially in performance, configurability and program architecture
there is no reason not to upgrade to vs 7.1, in fact, it would be unwise not to do so
greetings,

I've upgraded alle and all is working perfect. Better then before.

Thanks for the advice Sephir0th

I have upgraded around 500 server to VirusScan Enterprise V7.1 and found that there was more issues with NetShield and ePO then VirusScan V7.1
