What does the ! means in Access? For example, Me!Customer. Need to understand when to use the . or the ! when connecting objects.

Could someone help me understand the difference? Please.

Hi!

The difference is that the . operator is used for intrinsic functions such as Me.Requery etc. The bang (!) is used for user defined function such as Me!YourControl. As pointed out in another thread when used with the Me object the difference is relatively unimportant, but I think it is good to get into the habit of using them properly.
