What is the best way to do a monthly summary report in crosstab

I have to create a report, its a summary report and I am not
sure of the best way to go.
They are looking for a mixture of totals and averages
by month. Like a cross tab but not sure how to do this in the
cross tab wizard. Whats the best way to go....

Jan Feb Mar ...
Total # requests
Avg Field 1
Avg Field 2
Avg Field 3
# Investors
# Funds (separate tbl)
# Questions Asked
# Questions Answered
