What is the best standard or sql database?

Soon we will have one other server whit arcserve, I had experiment much problem whit the database of arcserve 2000 whit sp5, if I change it is the time.

I'd like to know, what is the best between sql and standard database?

I'd like to know, is it possible to put a central database for the 2 arcserve server ?

SQL is fast and especially faster with larger databases, and is much less likely to experience corruption.

Central Database is recommended when in a SAN but otherwise probably not the best way to go.

Let each server use the same SQL server but maintain their own databases. During the install just select the system with the SQL server.
