Hi, I am quite new to Samba and would like to use
one of the gui Samba management tools.
Does anyone have an opinion on which one(s)
is the best / most useful.

Any comments would be appreciated thanks
:)

What version of Samba do you have? V2 comes with it's own 'GUI'. we've got V1.9 & I've got Webmin set up (which includes a Samba module) for our NT guys to use LOL

I'm about to try Samba 2.2.2 - the latest
stable version.
Whats Webmin like? What can you do with it??

thanks

Webmin is a web-based interface for system administration for Unix. Using any browser that supports tables and forms (and Java for the File Manager module), you can setup user accounts, Apache, DNS, file sharing and so on. It only requires Perl on the server to run it.

It allows our NT guys to view & change most unix system configuration stuff when I'm not around ;-) Mainly used by them for adding/changing users & managing printers, but it does much more than that.

I second Webmin... works great and relatively easy to use. It does require you to already know what you want to do, it just puts a pretty face on the task.
