Hello all,

So quick background, I work for a company that buys and sells IT equipment, a lot of cisco. Typically we're dealing with 1-5k pieces of equipment and our proceedure is to do basic testing such as test ports, if it PoE - make sure those work properly. Then do a factory reset clearing settings and passwords.

Upcoming we have a deal in a foreign country that is high value.

We're going over to test this equipment - as a community, what is your opinions/methods to go about testing equipment to make sure it's "good to go" or resellable?

Examples of some of the equipment.

Generally if passes a POST they will be ok. Look in the logs while it's booting for any errors. On chassis based switches makes sure the diagnostic mode is set to complete then reboot .
