Hi,

I'm new to CR. I'm re-engineering my mainframe system from DB2/COBOL to MS SQL and Crystal Reports 10.

I want to know what is the best method (ease of programming, flexablity in programming, etc.) for viewing my reports. I have the option of using Crystal Enterprise or MS Visual Studio .NET

Thanks,

gmctrek

CE is a canned web viewing tool, wheras .NET is a development environment.

You can cutomize CE if you want, as opposed to .net which means you will write everything.

Cost is usually the determining factor as CE is quite pricey.

This is sort of like comparing Visual Basic to MS Access, the intent of the products and the decision which one ot use would be based on your requirements.
