I've got a windows 2000 and 2003 server that I want to create backup images of as part of a disaster recovery plan. I am familiar with Norton Ghost but I recently found out that the standard version of Ghost will not work with servers. What do most of you use to create backup images of your severs? Ghost? Acronis? Since the servers are both RAID5 will I need some sort of partition software as well like Partition Magic?

I use Acronis, with the Universal Restore module.

RAIDxx has nothing to do with disk partitions.

When you restore an image the partitions will automatically be recreated. It will restore onto any style of RAID (1, 5, 10, etc.).

Ok, I just wanted to be sure it would still work on RAID5. Thanks.
