What is status of Maitre'D POS?

The Dealer in our area (who sold Maitre 'D for the previous 10 years) is now advising customers we share to run away from Maitre 'D. The reasons are consistent; the new owners of Maitre 'D are not developing the software, ignoring CC security enhancements etc. If that's true then I understand and agree with the Dealers advice, however I don't know if those things are accurate. It's also possible that the Dealer fell out of good graces with Maitre 'D. So I wanted to ask for your help, what is current status of Maitre 'D POS? Have there truly been negative effects on the product after new owners took over?

Huh? I read Heartland bought Expient, Leaf, Dinerware, PCAmerica but didn't hear they bought Restaurant Mgr or Maitre 'D? You sure?

Not seeing anything on the web about HPS and Maitre'D. What is that dealer selling now?

I've seen some pretty shady things being done by dealers in my years, mostly it's a few bad salesmen but sometimes it's approved from the top.
