Here is what prompts the question.
I recently bought a version 5 upgrade on eBay.
Adobe's label on the box says the following:
"This upgrade version of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 will install only if you are a licensed user of Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or earlier."
I have a version 3 and based on that box label I thought I was ok. However the install program specifically requests to check for prior install or ownership of version 4.0 or 4.05 (only). If you try the version 3 cd at this point, the install just freezes. So the upgrade install program does not correspond with what Adobe put on the box.
So for Acrobat 7 upgrade, what prior versions does the install look for, and what prior version serial numbers does it accept?
