What is PUID?

Hi everyone, happy...er...8 day old year!

Can someone tell me what PUID is and what it does please? I've never come across it before, having worked with large CS1K based telecoms network for about 3 years and simply learnt on the job from other engineers. I've just printed my own TN out and spotted it listed. It has my own username next to it, but I'm not sure if this is coincidence, or means the value is related to my account.

The PUID field is the Read-only field & it reflects the user name of the subscriber when the account is added for a Subscriber.

It talks a little about it in this guide, I've never used it.
