What is port offsetting and diff serve in MCK?

Hi all,

Does anyone know what is port offsetting abd diff serve? What does it do when your running RVPoIP?

If I remember the port ofsetting was when you used something like a MCK6000 remote against a mck6000 pbx where the number of ports on the pbx was 24 and on the remote was 8 you would offset the ports to the desired ports on the pbx box.

We have used the port offset when we have two remote units served from one gateway. We basically indicate how many ports are used on Wan1 prior to serving the remote unit on Wan2.

And the diff serv setting is used in RVoIP only. If you dont know what it is, you dont needed. You would assign a diff serv value in your MCK and in your network equipment you would flag that value to assign priority QoS.
