what is need to learn how to read registires and spyware there?

It was recommended that I start a new thread on this subject.
If i was to buy a book though what would i study? or take a college class what would i study to be able to interpret the registry, a programing class? and in what language, i saw a microsoft web developer page for browsers that looked like something i mabye on the right track for learning this..
 
Honestly I dont think there is a book to learn. There might be but I havent seen one. Best thing to do is read others experiences on here. Yes there are books for learning the registry but considering how massive the registry is its easier just searching for names. If you want to get an idea of some registry things, what os are you on? I will show you a couple of things you can do to turn minor things off and on.

I'd say a general knowledge of Windows operating systems, web browsers and how they work is the most important aspect.
