What is max. size external USB drive suppory by W98

Hello,

I have a Gateway Solo 9300 CX laptop with 12GB internal HD and would like to extend its life before spending hundreds on a newer system before VISTA comes out.

I need as big an external HD I can get. USB or Firewire.

Is there/What is limit for Windows 98 ?? max size ??

Gateway tech support said 80GB and recommend :

Apricorn EZ Bus DT 80GB

Any feedback is good .....

I really dont know if there is a limit. I formated a 400 Gbyte drive with a win98se boot cd. It might depend on your bios.
