What is Lynx? All I know about it is that it, is some sort of 'text browser'. How does one use it? Is it pre-installed in Windows or will I have to download it from somewhere? Please help. Thanks.

lynx is a UNIX/Linux text-based broswer.. it comes default on some Linux distributions, but may need to be compiled and installed on other UNIX systems...

i haven't heard of a version that supports Windows...

command syntax for lynx is:

lynx
or

lynx-color
lynx-color may not be too common, but it's around..

good luck...

it's a type of wild cat!

just joking.... Like the gentleman said its a text broser. if you were wanting to be able to not download pics to speed up your browsing, you can uncheck that option in IE. but you probably know that!
