What is Lokkit?

Hi folks,

What is LOKKIT! This "thing" was preventing me from making a connection to my Linux box via ssh

What relation does lokkit have with ipchains? If I run ps -ef | grep ipchains on my system nothing is returned, so what daemon was preventing me from connecting to ssh? Also what are the config/rule files for LOKKIT/ipchains.

I hope this all makes sense, I'm a Solaris admin trying to learn Linux.
