What is going on in dw_name.update()

In my datawindow, it calls the dw_name.update() function and the update properties seem ok but it is always freezing up.
I tried, unsuccessfully, to skip it and set up my own insert statement but no luck.
It;s hanging up in the middle of the insert statement.

this is driving me crazy,
any help would be great!

Hi,

You said you had tried replacing the update statement with your own insert statement - does the insert statement fail when tried in isolation i.e. through a SQL tool? Have you checked for deadlocks/blocks?
